| MOMO handbrake lever and gaiter |

Hey
Has anyone fitted a MOMO Pitstop handbrake lever and gaiter in replacement of the original one?
I would like to know if it is easy to change them over and whether they fit perfectly. I believe the original gaiter may be too narrow to fit over a MOMO lever - so a new gaiter is required also?

for anyone interested, i've done some more research.
*removing the original handbrake lever is not too difficult; it is apparently glued into place with glue beneath the first half of the handle; if a heatgun does not soften the glue adequately, the handle can be cut off!
*a MOMO 'adaptor piece' is required to fit over the 'rectangular' button: version 'A1' (part no. 25011500001)
*MOMO 'Pitstop' handle is universal so should fit into place without problems
what i still do not know is whether the original gaiter will clip around the MOMO handbrake, or can be modified to fit neatly. or whether i need to buy a new MOMO one: version 'C13' (part no. 15011500013)
i also presume the handbrake for the GT is exactly the same as the 147. can anyone confirm this?

Hi shiny,
yes, the handbreak from the 147 is the same as the handbreak from the GT !
My brother have the alfa 147 with the momo handbreakcover. and this look very well.
He have no problem with the MOMO Pitstop handbrake. But I dont no with the gaiter I will talk with my brother and the answer get you later.

yes, I talk with my brother and he have buy the MOMO gaiter. He buy the as complet pack, Handbrake cover and gaiter.
Sorry, I can not say if is compatible with the original gaiter.

Hmm, it's a bit far to travel from Australia. The roads are very 'wet' between here and Europe.

Only thing we could do getting you over the seas would be searching for
a sponsor  for having transported "a real Australian Alfa wallaby"
to our meeting 2007 - certainly a left-hand drive European GT would be
available for you too to explore German Autobahns without speed limits . . . .

I ordered the parts (same part numbers mentioned above) which arrived yesterday, and fitted them today. Fitment was fairly easy, and the quality is very, very good. I think they look great.
