Bundesregierung zwingt Formel 1 zu E10
Es wird immer skurriler 
80 Prozent der bundesdeutschen Autofahrer boykottieren E10, die Bundespolizei darf ihre Wagen damit nicht betanken. Doch in der Formel 1 ist der Biosprit beim Rennen auf dem Nürburgring in diesem Jahr erstmals Pflicht. Denn die Bundesregierung hat verfügt: Bei allen Motorsportveranstaltungen müssen die Fahrzeuge entweder mit E10 oder Biodiesel angetrieben werden. "So leisten wir einen kleinen Beitrag zum Umweltschutz", erklärte ein Mitarbeiter des zuständigen Bundesministers Norbert Röttgen gegenüber t-online.de nach einem Treffen mit Formel-1-Bossen in Berlin.
Schon länger gibt es Bestrebungen in der Königsklasse des Motorsports, die Rennserie umweltverträglicher zu machen. Doch auch die Renn-Bosse hatten nicht mit diesem Schritt der Bundesregierung gerechnet. "Das kam dann doch sehr überraschend für uns", hieß es. Die Formel 1 werde "diese Herausforderung aber annehmen und meistern".
